Issue description

on 1.16.5 when i go to use a skin it says the file is empty and when i go to put a skin in one of the files it still doesn't read it

well im using an apple computer and when i go to click on "skins" it says "no skins for steve please place skins in local Directory" so i click "open local skin folder and when i put a skin in one of the folders it doesn't read its there.

What is the file path you are placing the skin in?

Skins need to go into the Alex or Steve folders and both must have at least one skin inside
