Second layer shows with Better Combat mod

Issue description
Found this issue on their tracker page and encountered it myself when using both mods. The post is resolved on their end saying that they couldn't do anything to fix it.
Steps to reproduce
- Download both mods
- Use any weapon with better combat animations

1.19.2
Mod Loader Platform type
Forge
Mod Loader version
Forge Ver 43.3.2

Regen 41.0.6
