Bastion Ring crash on kill with Create Deployer

I've noticed in a couple modpacks now that fake players or player weapons in machines seem to interact with relics in odd ways.
At any rate, using Create, Create Enchantment Industry, Relics, Artifacts, Artifacts Relicified, and a bunch of others that seem less relevant, but will be in the log.
- Deployer kills silverfish with a sword
- Cannot invoke "net.minecraft.world.damagesource.DamageSource.getEntity()" because the return value of "net.neoforged.neoforge.event.entity.living.LivingDeathEvent.getSource()" is null
- World is inaccessible entirely due to repeat crash on load.
I do not have a Bastion Ring in a slot or inventory. I am like 60% sure I don't even own one.
