In the latest fabric-1.14.4 release with only this mod and fabric-api installed it stops the ability to drop items. It doesn't matter what key you set in controls to drop either.

So many changes have happened in the code base since I created this issue and I lack want to check whether it still is a bug in newer versions, which I doubt it is, so I'm closing it
