i watch lots of streamers and youtube. and many have same issue with baby bees. when they go from baby to adult they can glitch through block above them causing them to die in solid blocks, or glitching out of containment area. seen many people get confused and frustrated as bees disappear, or escape all over their base when they grow up. I know letting them grow up on lead is best right now.

But I had the idea for a small machine. a incubator you can put a jarred baby bee into and let it grow up safely. Either you breed as it is now, capture baby in jar and insert into incubator. Maybe use some honey to feed babies to grow. or have parents when bread drop a baby non flying maggot that can be put in incubator to be grown. i think one of these would greatly reduce a lot of frustration and confusion with bees. as most people put the babies into the hive area with parents and they disappear.
just a simple machine, maybe made with a honey comb block and some wood. like in real word babies are fed honey and grow up in the combs inside a hive.

Some of these ideas will be part of the addon mod I want to make that completely overhauls the breeding process for our bees. The issue with baby bees is actually a vanilla issue stemming from the change in collision bounds as babies grow up. Players don’t generally notice that because they don’t use vanilla bees nearly as much as they do our bees for obvious reasons. But I definitely want a more interactive breeding process.
