[Bug]: Alex's Caves mobs overspawn

Been trying to figure out this issue for some time now. Overall, the results I've been getting have not been consistent.
I assumed downgrading back to the previous version would fix it, but the issue somehow persists. Tried downgrading Alex's Caves (version 1.1.1 - 1.0.9), same issue either way.

Attempted to raise the mob cap to 3x the initial ammount, no good either.
Tagging certain mobs as "persistent" does not seem to do much either...
(strangely, despite setting "mob persistence" to false, some still persist??)

The Alex's Caves mobs are supposedly different than animals or monsters, perhaps there's a conflict going on that's causing the lack of spawning?

Should be fixed in v8.2.0.

Tried the new version (v8.2.0), but it looks like the changes made to fix this issue now causes the completely opposite problem: now barely any of the mobs are spawning (at least for the primordial caves).

While mobs such as trilocaris, vallumraptors, and subterranodons spawn like normal, every other mob for the cave biome does not spawn at all (or incredibly rarely).

BTW, for Alex's Cave's case: there is a config that determines the spawn cap "multiplier" for the cave mobs... by default it should be 1.75... are you certain you didn't change that specific setting?

EDIT: even when modifying the spawncap on AC's end, the issue still persists.
