In the storage scanner when crafting things if I don't have the exact identical item for crafting it won't craft it would be nice if there was ore dictionary substitution option. For example when using JEI to move the recipe for a chest to the grid it automatically puts oak wood planks in the slots but I have no oak wood planks but I have 2000 cherry wood planks that could be used instead but it won't use any "plankWood" it is requiring the oak planks.

Plus one for this, makes the storage scanner really annoying to use in modpacks with a larger amount of mods. Using 1.12.2 RFTools here.

Adding my support for this. Perhaps just a small check box below the crafting grid that allows you to toggle it on and off. Not every pack maker, unfortunately, is nice enough to properly unify ingots and I'm currently running into this where adding the recipe from JEI to the storage tablet is giving me Thermal Foundation aluminum but all I have is Galacticraft aluminum.

It's a small annoyance, but it would be great if it could be improved.

I support for this too. If oredict is hard, an alternative way is add a list, which decides preferring ores from mods.
