Sugestion- Villager Alterer and Mob Protector

One problem with making shops is: How
One problem with Villagers is: Why go to them, they rarely have useful trades.
I think it would be cool to be able to use a block to configure a villagers trading. Then, you put the items to trade in, Press remember layout, and the villager is ready to be interact with the new items. Any thing that was given to the villager goes in the output slot to be hoppered/ piped out.
Now, if someone trades with the villager, they are trading with you, and you just bind the block to the villager. But, someone could just kill the villager, and you waste villager. There's a block protector, why not a mob/entity protector. It will make mobs invulnerable to all damage, but the farther away the entity/ entities are, the more power used. The more damage, the more power.
These are just ideas though.
Thanks
Why overcomplicate this by throwing a villager in? Why not just directly make a trading block at that point?
Actually, I realize that Vending block already does just that. What would an implementation in RFTools do that it doesn't?
That seems more magic-blocky to me.
It would be more tech-orientated.
It would be breakable by anyone, encouraging use of the block protector.
If it uses a villager, it has more in-world interaction.
It could have more than one trade. (I forget, does the Vending Block do that?)
It could have more Redstone interaction. (I.E When receiving Redstone, do these trades, when not, do
these.
It could have more than 2 items per 1 item, (I.E. insta-crafting by trading all the resources for the item, even if it uses more than 2, and then auto crafting the first items for later use.)
It would b in this mod, meaning You don't have to use another mod.
It could be infused for even more items per trade, and less energy usage.
And who knows what else!
P.S. Though, you do have a point as well.
