If there's blocks between elevator levels, the platform will move through them as if they weren't there, potentially suffocating players at their destination.

Hmm not sure about fixing this one as I actually had a setup where I depended on this. The elevator moves quickly enough to prevent suffocation

It's possible to make a setup where the elevator leaves you inside of a block when it's done moving.

Wouldn't fixing this this prevent players from placing screens or lighting inside of an elevator shaft though?

As pictured, yes, you're right. Perhaps we should only check for blocks that cause suffocation.

I would think most players would not put blocks in the way of their destination anyways, unless done intentionally as a trap.

Actually that might make a fun little mob killing setup. 😄
