[Enhancement] Better use of Storage scanner with xnet.

So XNET is great and the storage scanner is useful, but combining the 2 you miss on the great features of the storage scanner, which is, actually, scan storage without cables...
My case:
The fact that you can put a storage scanner in the middle and scan an area for chests is a great feature that dies when you use xnet with it.
My proposal:
Splitting is good, the storage scanner doesn't have to be the little gadget that has to do everything, as a storage scanner is great (scan storage nearby, and set storage priority), as a single point storage management solution is lacking features such as, sorting, item drag/drop to extract and input items from the full list to name a few.
I think the storage scanner should do only the scan and priority parts without user input for item management, the item view should just be a preview of what is on the container not meant to be used (or could be removed), and double chests or double containers should be shown as a single line (you could add 2 icons instead of one on the same line to denote that is a double item container).
Hooked to Xnet the storage scanner should present the list of hooked container as sub items of the storage scanner (think of the xnet controller displaying the storage scanner, and under it, a tabbed list of chests or machines with inventories hooked to it, so you can still individually set filters over the xnet view), and for other networks that are not xnet it would only display all items as if it were a single container, for which you can extract and import items from, so a hopper over it, would input items following storage scanner rules, and putting a hopper under would extract everything as well, following the same priority but backwards.
The split would come in the form of a new block to manage items on a network, this new item can be put on top of the storage scanner, and be automatically hooked to the storage scanner below, or on a remote location hooked to an xnet cable with a storage channel, the display of this new block should be just like the GUI of the modular storage (minus the filter part, and the storage module card part), this would allow it to have a nice display, do all the filter and searching, and have some recipes in it.
Hope you guys consider this idea a little bit, as I think it would bring great benefit for everyone =D
