[1.10.2] Modular storage and tablet icons overlap when grabbing items

When I grab an item from a modular storage or the storage module tablet, the icon of that item seems to render halfway behind the other icons of items still inside the storage (see the first screenshot in the album below). I would expect the icons to render similar to the standard minecraft chest icons (see the second screenshot). The effect is especially distracting when you switch to the icon only view.
Minecraft: 1.10.2
Forge: 12.8.0.2006
Mods:
mcjtylib-1.9.4-1.9.1
rftools-1.10-4.67
How do you even reproduce that? I have never ever seen that and I use modular storage myself extensively... What steps are you using to reproduce this exactly?
I'm doing nothing special at all. Created a new pack with RFTools and McJtyLib, based on the newest Forge. I then simply create a new creative world, give myself a modular storage and put items in. That is how the screenshots were taken. I've been playing with the modular storage for a while and have never seen that before either. To eliminate any weirdness with other mods I created a completely new instance. I didn't change anything in the settings or anything like that.
If you can't reproduce it, it must be something with my graphics card maybe. I will see if I can find anything that makes a difference and report back.
I updated and changed things for my graphics card, but nothing changed. I then went back to 1.10 and build 2000 of Forge and everything there works fine. So it is definitely something that changed in 1.10.2. I went back through the versions of forge for 1.10.2 till buld 2002, but it always rendered wrong. I hope this is helpful.
I still haven't been able to reproduce this at all. No matter what version of forge I use. Also on ForgeCraft people don't have this problem. So no idea what is going on here...
I tested it on a completely different system (Mac) and it still happens with the newest Forge build 2007. I even checked your current 1.10 branch out and started the game from IntelliJ but it still happens (also on my Mac). After looking at it a little more, I realized that it only happens when at least one of the icons belongs to a block. Icons for two items seem to be rendered correctly.
