Material Time Absorber needs a rework imo.

Ive created several worlds with the other absorbers and dont mind them. I have yet to do one successful time absorber though.
I fully understand HOW it needs to work but cannot get past a 20-40% and even find it resetting sometimes. I do all the proper steps.... clear sight to sky, have a time mod installed and flick it at noon every day in the overworld... 2 blocks away with redstone using a lever (as provided by pictures). I flick it on and off and it registers the first time. I then leave it off to reset with a cooldown until the next day. Then that day I flick it on and off 20 times and it will never increase.
This absorber needs to be easier and be much more relaxed so it can be used easily. I find it so hard to use I dont even waste my time with it. I make many dimlets from the materials and biomes and have no problem what so ever.
As a recommendation to make it easier: I think you should just have to set its initial time (with redstone) so it say becomes a noon absorber. At that point you should have to leave it enabled with redstone for a few minecraft days and then its done. No more, no additional days... I think its just so hard to get it working that it needs an easy mode.
I would love the time absorber to be easier but what about absorbing fast or slow time? How should that be handled at that point?
Require a time absorber of any time fully made and combine it with... say 4 clocks in a crafting table. That would produce a fast time.
For slow time, maybe 4 fishing rods or string or something combined with a fully done time absorber of any time in a crafting table as well.
that would make all time dimlets require a time effort, but of course allow the fast/slow to be made with a slight crafting part of minor difficulty.
