Since only the prime elevator control block needs power, perhaps allow a screen to be "powered" if a linked elevator button module is installed.

When I build an elevator from main base down to my mines, I end up with two screen controllers to reach all of the floor levels.

In Real Life, the elevator cab and the call buttons on each floor are actually powered from the elevator control room.
