Screen Modules do not work on some blocks from other mods

I'm starting to notice that Screen Modules such as Inventory Module or Fluid Modules no longer work on blocks from other mods such as reading the inventory of a Dimensional Transceiver from Ender IO. These used to work back in 1.8.9 I think it was. What changed? Can we make it compatible again?
It works on most blocks and if I were to take a guess it doesn't work on non-accessible items or fluid, for example, I can read the output inventory of a Farming Station from Ender IO but not the axe/hoe or fertilizer slots.
