On startup, the mod fails to load and crashes with the Exit Code -1

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• Put the mod in the mods folder
• Start Minecraft

Error: java.lang.AssertionError: REI Internals have not been initialized!
Exit-Code: -1

Environment:

• Minecraft: 1.18.1
• Mod Loader: fabric
• REI version 7.0.346

Additional context
Same issue with every other 1.18.1 version

I did some further research and found out that it wasn't the fault of REI, it was falsely accused by another mod that caused the crash.
