Describe the Issue

There is a bug with the taming wolf, every time I leave the world and come back, the tamed wolf's life points reset to 20. it's complicated to give him 30 steaks so that he goes back to 100 life point and more on hight level every time I want to play.

I try with and without others mods

Appears to be a Minecraft bug (https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-193202) that was fixed in the latest snapshot.
