I discussed the problem with the author of the bee mod.

Rubidium is that sodium port right? Well, they inherited this sodium bug then. TelepathicGrunt/Bumblezone#176

You could try and ask Rubidium to include the code that fixes the biome blending or set biome blending to off in the config for that mod"

It seems like Rubidium did pull in this fix from Sodium. Tested and seems like my block is ok now.
