Looking at the EMI it seems like most if not all of the bronze blocks share this bug.

I know pictures don't tell much since you can't see the difference between waxed and unwaxed versions - I just wanted to show conditions for each block:

I tested regular Bronze blocks with diamond unenchanted pickaxe and it does what I wrote in the title.
