Crops not growing in extreme biomes

Not sure if this is a compatibility issue or not, I couldn't find anything in the logs suggesting that but I'm not super experienced with that. All I know is that rustic crops and saplings will not grow in hot or cold biomes. Meaning, if I try and grow something in a savanna it refuses to grow or even receive bonemeal. They can be planted but that is it. I doubt this is intentional, as ironwood trees grow in snowy plains, but their saplings will not. If you guys can get them to on your worlds then it is likely a compatibility issue and not your problem, but I wanted to bring it up anyway.
Sorry, super embarrassing, it is totally a mod conflict, just tested the mod by itself, grew an apple tree right in the desert! My bad.
Do you have serene seasons? That's one of the features of that mod. Also check if other crops are affected besides rustic ones.
I actually did figure out it was serene seasons last night (and was going to post it in the morning), and it is one of the features of the mod. However the feature of the mod is to make crops only grow in certain seasons, not biomes. It does this fine with the vanilla crops, but the rustic ones it won't let grow in any biome in any season besides the temperate ones. I tried working with the config, but even when I told it to not affect modded crops they still wouldn't grow (including the saplings which the mod shouldn't affect). I just went back to a version of seasons before it affect crop growth and it worked just fine, so I still have seasons (and vanilla crops should die in the winter which is good enough for me). So that is the issue, something between season's crop fertility and rustic was acting up.
Oh, and I just remember I do have another crop mod, roots adds some crops too, and they never seemed to act up, but I never did try and grow them in a hot or cold biome either, I should probably check that out for you. Either way it isn't really your problem, you don't have to make them compatible unless you want to, I'm just letting you know an issue exists.
