Vanilla issue, unfortunately. Dogs cannot be healed past their vanilla max health. I recall Difficult Life also had an... interesting... effect on the dog's tails.

Possible fix would be to use ASM to patch the vanilla class, but I'd rather not. A better solution would be to just add regen to pets.
