What Should Be Added or Changed?

  • A togglable option to set the difficulty level to be proportional with player XP level amount, with varying ratios
ie. Player is level 30, the difficulty on a 1:1 ratio is level 30. On a 1:2 ratio, however, the difficulty is instead 60.
The difficulty level of course still caps out at the specified config value, and enchanted/cursed/lucky hearts will affect the player XP levels based on the same ratios.

Why Should This Be Done?

  • This would incentivize players to use mods that store XP, and work well with mods that have custom loot tables based on player XP.
It can also act as a more linear experience increase throughout the game, at the cost of the game becoming more difficult.
Thirdly, this heavily incentivizes players using cursed hearts, as I've found them to seldom be used by the majority of players due to the XP gain benefit not being large enough to justify.
And fourthly, it helps break mob XP grinders as the mobs will more rapidly become too difficult for any normal grinder to handle.
