Disabled difficulty system, gain hearts only by XP, when I die my hearts reset to just 1 row, so default health

newest forge, 1.16.5 health scaling

if I've earned the xp to gain hearts, it shouldn't reset when I die.

Yes, hearts by XP are not permanent, this is intended. If you die, you lose the hearts.
