As of now, searchables' reliance on minecraft has meant that it cannot be used in non-minecraft environments, or even many minecraft versions (1.20.1 and pre-1.16.5).

It would be beneficial to split searchables into a general api (eg. this fork) and auxiliary minecraft mod.
