Describe the Issue

Client is constantly spamming this message:
[07Dec2024 23:51:48.845] [Server thread/WARN][Moonlight/]: Failed to find empty fluid for DynamicHolder{ResourceKey[moonlight:soft_fluid / moonlight:water]}

also, possibly unrelated, and only occasionally (doesn't seem to coincide with the lag spikes, since the spikes occur much more frequently than this log entry):
[08Dec2024 00:06:08.963] [Render thread/ERROR][com.mojang.blaze3d.audio.OpenAlUtil/]: Deleting stream buffers: Invalid operation.

i'm getting regular (every ~20-30sec.) lag...well, less spikes and more blobs, really; about 2-5 seconds of noticable, but largely mild lag causinf FPS to drop to about 30-ish, then nothing again.

checked with observable, wether it's some (tile-)entity somewhere freaking out, but everything was within expected ranges.

then i checked the logs and saw the massive wall of WARN spam caused by moonlight, so here we are!

notable observation: the lag apparently occurs on a chunkborder, and is completely gone in different dimensions, so i'm guessing rendering issue somewhere.

Any idea why that might be? tried searching for the error, but didn't really find anything useful...

the neoforge version doesn't have a newer version than moonlight-1.21-2.17.11-neoforge.jar on curseforge; is it hosted somewhere else? or are the curse servers being slow?
