the question is self explaining. i am wondering if it only affects you/is exploitable on servers or if it can effect you while on single player. another question is if it can affect fabric and quilt

It does affect servers. Not just clients. For Forge at least.

We aren't really sure about fabric as we don't have enough information to work with as of right now. We haven't really done much testing.
