Use with Better Combat will keep the shield on cooldown

When used with Better Combat, raising the shield and using weapon attacks will keep the shield on cooldown unless you press and hold the right button until the shield is cooled down
Steps:
1.Shield in the left hand, sword in the right
2.Press and hold the right button to use the shield
3.Left click while using shield to use weapon to attack
4.Do not perform any operations
5.The shield will always be on cooldown
This is known and is caused by Better Combat intentionally not using vanilla functions and breaking mod compat. It will be fixed in the next content update, until then these mods are considered incompatible.

Next content update as in 1.20? or next Shield Exp update?
But a temporary fix to this problem would be to disable the lowering CD, which isn't a big loss.
Depending on when 1.20 releases, both. I won't have time to work on the mod properly until July probably, so if 1.20 is out by then, it will be in the 1.20 update.
