okay the title tells you whats important now heres the steps, no clue on if this is the same on later versions im lazy:

1. get shield
2. spawn skeleton
3. deflect an arrow with skeleton
4. no advancement????

in vanilla you should automatically get the advancement if you deflected an arrow with a shield
