"Adjust Player Transparency" adjusts *all* armor transparency in the world

Description

Bringing the camera close to the player in Shoulder Surfing mode triggers the transparency effect, but it also fades out other entities' armor layers. Going into first person while faded out locks the transparency until you update by exiting back into Shoulder Surfing mode to make your player not transparent.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Make sure "Adjust Player Transparency" is enabled in Client Config -> Player
  2. Go into Shoulder Surfing
  3. Bring camera close to player, make sure player fades
  4. Note that other entities' armor has faded, too
  5. Go into first person while transparent and note that the transparency locks

Minecraft version

Fabric 1.20.1

Additional Information

Image (ex. 1a, player is transparent and horse armor is transparent) Image (ex. 1b, player is not transparent and horse armor is not transparent) Image (ex. 2a, player is transparent and armor stand's armor is transparent) Image (ex. 2b, player is not transparent and armor stand's armor is not transparent) Image (ex. 3, going into first-person while player is transparent keeps armor transparent until switching back into shoulder surfing)

fix: disable "Adjust Player Transparency" in client config

Still happens in <4.10.0 (on 4.10.1 fabric)
