It would be nice to be able to hit a keybind and toggle between two camera distances.
I find the default distance of 4 a bit too far but I would also like to be able to quickly switch to a long distance to have a better view of my surroundings.

Thanks for the suggestion. The next version of Shoulder Surfing Reloaded will feature configurable per-axis offset presets, which can be cycled through via new dedicated keybinds.
