Slimes Multiply Infinitely After Dying

1 small slime can turn into 3 big slimes after killing them, had to command kill

It's normal to /kill several time as they can merge because when you/kill slime, it will spawn their smaller slime as if you killed them yourself. But are you sure about "1 small slime can turn into 3 big slimes after killing them"? I've never seen that, so if you can explain me how was the environment during this bug, I'd be glad.
Can confirm. This bug caused me insane grief because it continuously brought our server down until we found the source; an infinite respawning pool of slimes under a friends village. Spawning at a rate of 1000 slimes/second.
They should merge only when they touch each other, and die only if you kill them but I guess they were in an endless loop... In a future update I will fix this then by introducing the fact that they can merge only once to avoid infinite multiplication. Thanks for your confirmation! =)

Thank you, we really like this mod, it gave our players a heck of a shock to see a few harmless slimes coming toward them only to merge and mess them up a bit
