What Should Be Added or Changed?

  • When salvaging Diamond items in the Salvager, have it produce Diamond Shards and not full Diamonds.

Why Should This Be Done?

  • If you set up a mob/xp farm with hoppers, you can easily get a chest full of Diamond gear, resulting in easy stacks of Diamonds

In the case of vanilla armor, it would need to be fixed with a data pack that changes the salvaging recipes. For gear armor... I'll have to think about how to handle that.
