Those are placeholder models. Forge removed a ton of their model code and I don't know how to fix it yet. Gear models are too complex to be rendered properly with standard vanilla Minecraft models.

so there is no way around it atm? whatever i want to craft all weapons or tools will have this seeing truth texture?

No. New models need to be coded from scratch.

Temporary models have been improved in version 3.0.4 by commit ea41d75. They are still far more primitive than previous versions. But they look much nicer.
