OK, as soon as I posted this it started working normal again... I was not holding shift before and it was only happening with sand as the target block.

Sill, guess I'll leave this here in case it is something you want to look at.

And it is back to single digging again...

OK, figured the behavior out. When targeting Sand, if the whole 3x3 is not Sand it will only dig a single block. If all 9 blocks of the 3x3 are sand it will function normally and dig all the blocks.

Tested to work normally on Dirt, Gravel, and Clay as the target block.

Let me know if anything changes in version 4.0.3

I'll make a test world and check it out. My survival world got corrupted. ; ;

Going to be a bit more. After deleting that world I am crashing after clicking Single player.

Issue still persists. I do have new details though.

The issue only occurs when the target block is adjacent to water. I initially had been digging underwater in a river.

Interestingly, I found that when this happens it digs up the single block of sand and leaves a source block of water in the space. I found this out by making a 1 block wide channel on land to test against flowing water.

Updated the OP with the Water adjacent info.

Hmmm, let me look over my mod list and see if I can't find the culprit.

Found it! 'Pretty Beaches' by BlaytheNinth is the one. As soon as I saw it I figured that would be the one. I'll cross post it over to his tracker incase there is something on his end to look at as well.

I wonder if this could be a mod compatibility issues? I'm not able to get this to happen at all.
