Fireproof Coating not working

Expected Behavior

I made a katana with an an alloy coating which contained Blaze-Gold,Gold,Netherite,Netherite, which i made in that order in the alloy forge. The coating, and the katana once the coating was applied all listed that it had the trait fireproof, which should prevent it from burning in fire or lava.

Actual Behavior

I accidentally dropped this katana in lava and it burned up. I tested this multiple times in creative with the same coating, and even a full netherite coating, but it always burns up in lava and in fire.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Blaze-Gold,Gold,Netherite,Netherite Alloy in the alloy forge and make a coating out of it
  2. Apply to katana
  3. Throw in lava
