Armadillo immune to damage from campfire / cactus, etc. when balled up

Expected Behavior
When an armadillo is balled up on a campfire or cactus it is supposed to take a damage that is negated by the effect of its shell. This allows building XP farms with silverfish.
Actual Behavior
Something in Silent Gear is making the damage tick never apply, I'm assuming some kind of armor rework, and that makes the 0 damage tick never trigger damage at all, stopping silverfish from spawning.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem
- Place zombie in boat / hole near a hole with a campfire
- Spawn an armadillo, it should be scared by the zombie
- Push it onto the campfire and see if it takes "damage" (makes pain noise and spawns silverfish)
