When playing on a server where the server has increased the the amount of time the air lasts in the tank the air counter on the client will go negative. Changing the clients settings to match the server fixes the issue. I am not sure if 1.18 is still supported but a hotfix (or backport if this is already solved in later versions) for this would be cool :).
