Many ores (and other items) just look the same, only fine differences in lighting show that here's something else than there.

Please let us see what is meant with that daubes by implementing a "mouse-over hint".

Same as above. Would love to see this feature implemented.

I can't beg for/upvote this (tooltips) enough, impossible to see which weapon details/stats/etc i'm pulling back from the inventory!
