After crafting the root block i placed it in my house . The server instantly crashed . After logging back in , the chunk i placed it in was corrupt (empty hole) .

Happened to me too, any way of recovering the chunk without reverting to a backup?

removing the mod worked in recovering the bugged out chunk for me
