Yep same thing with cake recipe. Network has only 5 milk buckets and no empty ones. But:

Would like to point out that this bug has re-emerged in 1.2.4.

I applied some other related fixes in 1.2.5 before looking at this. I cannot replciate it at all now, im doing it exactly like the gif.

So either it was always fine, or its fixed in 1.25 ETA very soon less than a day

This bug is back with the 2740+ versions OF Forge. For instance crafting using the Tome of Alkahestry from Reliquary causes major duplication exploits to occur.

I wouldn't mind if you added a config option that disabled allowing your mod to do crafting using items that are damageable.
