For the mid- to late-game, there should be some device that you fill up with water and maybe power (FE/RF), and just having it in your inventory would automatically hydrate you. Preferably, this could be put into a Baubles slot.

there is traveler's backpacks and its companion mod, TB Integration which lets you put purified water into the fluid tanks and drink from the hose. A compact way to carry both water and purified water for making juice etc. Also comes with a crafting grid and room for two tools/weapons that can be quick-swapped.
