When loading Create together with SimpleVillagers, the game window will not show up (but it didn't crash).
After this line [Render thread/INFO]: Hrmpf! Loading SimpleVillagers ..., the log is full of this:

[Render thread/WARN]: Rebuilding BlockStates! Someone accessed BlockStates ids too early...

and it repeats forever. Loading Create or SimpleVillagers alone won't cause this issue.

Are you playing Minecraft 1.19? I'm currently using the same Create and SimpleVillagers versions as you, but on Minecraft 1.18.2, and it's all working fine.
