The config files are kind of broken since a long time... For example, It is not registered when you add mods at a later point that could integrate with the mod. Also, the In-Game-Config-Editor (provided through Forge) is broken in my mod and does not save the changes you made.
The goal is to fix those issues and improve the config file overall, make it easier to use and provide more options to change the mod's behaviour to your own liking.

• Generate a folder on first startup for config files
• Overhaul the client config file (Maybe a visual config for the HUD?)
