So basically I'm working on a modpack and for some odd reason was not spawning in the correct dimension. Eventually readding mods one by one I realized that it's Simply Seasons being included in the pack when the bug occurs. Over the hotbar the message "Can't teleport during a full moon" appears.

Edit never mind you can close this, I found the culprit. Planet sand has a config to disable teleporting during full moons, and I guess Simply Season sets the first night to a full moon?
