When using the 3d skin layer mod, all custom head blocks i have only load the outer layer. if i then take the mod back out everything loads like normal, its just when i have the mod that fails to load the inside layer of the heads

Try turning on the "Iris Compatebility Mode" in the settings and then rejoin the world.

That didn't work, however turning off 3d player heads did fix the invisibility
