EMF/ETF 1.20.1 Issues

Hello,
I'm playing on a 1.20.1 server with friends. We're using a modpack created by me. Same mods, same versions but for me the 3d skin layers are not working, while for others it is. I tried checking everything I could think of. The mod is showing up on my mod list, the settings for 3d skin layers are turned on and I even tried to turn off all recource packs and shaders. I went into the settings of EMF/ETF and tried to play around with the settings but nothing changed. I even saw videos of people playing with the same recource packs, shaders and similar mods and it worked. And as I said, for my friends everything is working perfectly.

My best guess is, that you use a pirated version of the game, or load your skin with a non-vanilla method (Custom Skin Loader or something like that).

No I have baought minecraft and don't use a custom skin loader. My Skin is uploaded to the Minecraft launcher and I don't use a Custom skin loader. I literally did everything accordingly but it's still not working. If you want I can send a mod list if that would help.

Odd, are they staying 2d or just gone? Also try the setting in terms of Iris Compatibility mode etc, and make sure you are on the latest version.

They're 2d. I don't use Iris. I'm using Oculus for the shaders.

Oculus is an unofficial Forge fork of Iris, I don't test with that, but I assume it should work too. Staying 2d means that either the settings are turned off to turn them 3d, or the model is not the vanilla player.

I found out that the 3d layers turn into 2d, if you're using the following recource packs: Detailed Animations, Fresh Moves and Just Expressions. At least if you're using forge. I've watched some videos and found modpacks using them in combination but only for fabric, so I assume it's an issue of forge only.

I can confirm that ETF/EMF works perfectly fine with 3d skin layers, at least on Fabric an latest. 1.20.1 Forge might not be supported anymore by ETF/EMF, so you might need to use an older version of 3d skin layers for compatibility (see #264 ).

Thank you it works.
