There used to be a mod called QuickHotbar that I've been looking for a replacement for for years. Your mod seems very close, but what I can tell from the modrinth page, is missing the one feature I used most: Cycling the entire inventory.

If that could be done this mod would basically be perfect for me

Quark has something like this and is now available for 1.20.1 on Forge.

Personally I'm a big fan of the Better Than Adventure hotbar cycling mechanic with the neat indicator to the side of the hotbar showing which inventory row is currently selected as the hotbar. Maybe I'll port that to Slot Cycler at some point.
