Contrary to popular belief, "retina" isn't actually exclusive to Mac. My 14 inch Windows laptop has a higher pixel density than a 15.4 inch Macbook Pro.

I think it would be beneficial for everyone if this able to just be enabled if your resolution is high enough since I don't think there's even an API that Java can access to get screen size for the calculation.
