Compatibility issue with Distant Horizons

Version information
mc1.18.1-0.4.0-alpha6+build.14
Expected Behavior
LOD "fake" chunks from the Distant Horizons mod should consistently load outside of view distance, as they do without Sodium.
These screenshots were both taken without Sodium. The first is a fresh instance on a new singleplayer world (seed: 0) with no other mods (besides Fabric API). The second is on a server with several other mods active. In both cases, Distant Horizons functions correctly.
Actual Behavior
Some of the LOD chunks do not render when using Sodium, even after waiting several minutes without moving. This occurs at the edge of the normal view distance at 45 degree angles from the cardinal directions. These screenshots correspond to the previous ones.
Reproduction Steps
(Copied from my Distant Horizons report)
Use a fresh installation of Minecraft 1.18.1 with Fabric Loader.
Install Fabric API, Sodium 0.4 Alpha 6, and Distant Horizons Alpha 1.6.2.
Launch Minecraft and set view distance to 20.
Create a creative mode world with default settings, enter 0 for the seed.
Run the command /tp @s -52.50 288 25.50 0 35
Wait for LODs to generate.
You will see two holes in the world, each consisting of about 5 chunks. They should be pretty easy to notice, but if not, look at the center of your screen and then about halfway from there to the left and right sides.
Turn around, and you will see two similar holes forming a square with the original two.
Now, quit the game, remove Sodium, and launch the game again, and open the same world. Note that the holes are no longer present.
