With that said,

Ok, so here is my idea. Just like AE2 has a ME Terminal to access items in ME Drives.
Sophisticated Storage should have a terminal controller to do the same, but with a better option, most players would love.

And that would be to have access to all storage chests and barrels without any actual connections to them.
So long as the [ SS-Terminal ] is within 20 blocks, it can access any chests or barrels without the need for any cable connection.

Q. Want even more distance?
A. Sure, placing 8-Diamond blocks and the SS-Terminal in the center of the crafting grid gives you up to 50 block distance,
to have access to all the chests and barrels in the immediate area that is an [ SS-Chest and a SS-Barrel ].

The [ SS-Terminal ] will have access as well, be able to grab items to craft things.
You can also use a (dump feature) to dump all items from the [ SS-Backpacks ], and the [ SS-Terminal ] will know where to place each item.
There should also be 8 different filter upgrades that will dump by specific items and full stacks,

One of the filters will allow a player to connect modded items, such as the Mechanism crusher to crush ores into 2 dusts,
or send the items to the newly created dusts to the smelter for ores or the [ SS-Crafting Table ] that will automate specific craft of items like a Ore Hammer,
that the hammer will use the [ SS-Crafting Table ] to crush the ore into 2 dusts, in case a player has yet to build a Mekanism crusher machine.

ALL THIS from the [ SS-Terminal ] without using any cable connection, because it would cost the player,
8 blocks of Diamonds and a crafting table in the crafting grid to create an [ SS-Terminal ] that would connect to all the sophisticated storage chests and barrels together to the [ SS-Terminal ].

Each chest and barrel must also have a Remote Access card in the left upgrade slot.
Once the Remote Access card is installed, it can never be removed, but the position of the card can be moved.
And the chests must be within range for the [ SS-Terminal ] to see it.

Lastly,
The current double chests storage amount should double of that of a netherite double chest,
by placing 1 block of Netherite, 2 blocks of diamonds, nether star and a SS chest,
placed in the crafting table, will result in giving the player
2x the storage of a double nethrite storage chest. Like this pattern
