The Storage Drawers mod has an upgrade that makes them retain their contents, it doesnt really need this by default as they normally retain their contents, but it would be cool if Soph Storage had something similar I could throw on some of my Limited Barrels for example if I knew I would be moving them more often so I dont have to use the Packing Tape every time

I'm also worried about some of my barrels that have millions of items and would kill my server if they were accidentally broken 😬

what about packing tape? why is that not a good option?

I still want to use and see the container, packing tape is both one time use and packs up the container visually (and functionally?)

Edit: I would say both have their use, packing tape to move large amounts of stuff infrequently, and this proposed upgrade for things you want to frequently move or protect from accidental destruction without hindering use/appearance
